Make a decision to take action based on that wisdom, write down that decision and utilise the energies of the super blue blood moon to call in Divine help to charge your action with power and holiness. And so it is.

Conscious Relationship with Money

Here’s my assignment for those listening to our December 4th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

Your assignment for this week is :

Write your Money Story, by asking what did I learn from my parents about money? What did I learn from my culture or the media about money? and What did I learn from my past about money?

Explore the limiting beliefs and the positive beliefs from your Money Story, challenge the limiting beliefs and build on the positive beliefs, by affirming them. Then ask yourself these 4 questions to change your mindset and motivations around money:

  • DO I WANT TO GROW SPIRITUALLY?
  • DO I WANT TO LOVE MORE?
  • DO I WANT TO NURTURE THE CALL OF MY SOUL BY LIVING MY LIFE ON PURPOSE?
  • AM I WILLING TO HAVE MONEY ENTER MY LIFE FOR THESE PURPOSES?

This exercise will help you change from a person with a Money Wound Story to a person with a Money Magnet Story, and align your motivations with a higher purpose.

Grace interviews award winning psychic medium Harry T

Here’s my assignment for those listening to our October 23rd show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

Your assignment for this week is :

To develop your psychic abilities:

  1. Re-listen to my podcast and see if any of the different psychic abilities I mentioned, resonate with you. If one of them does, then read more about it, become familiar with it and be open to seeing how it already operates within you.
  2.  Study the major chakras in your body and work on clearing them. In particular, after having your chakras cleared, keep picturing each of the chakras and the shape and colour associated with that chakra and developing a strong awareness of when that chakra is clear and when it feels blocked. If blocked , use your mind to visualise the block clearing . In particular, get to really know and understand your third eye chakra. Read about it, and keep visualising it growing stronger and clearer day by day.
  3. Meditate each morning and evening. Clear your mind and allow yourself to receive visions or guidance from the spirit world. If anything comes to you allow it, welcome any images, symbols, memories. Develop a relationship with the metaphysical, nurture that relationship and your psychic abilities will open up.

Your Psyche

Here’s my journalling assignment for those listening to our September 25th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

YOUR PSYCHE: How Mind and Soul Rule Your Life

Find a quiet place, meditate for 5 minutes and then:

1. Write a letter to your Soul asking your soul for guidance on your life purpose. If you don’t know what it is then ask your soul to reply with a vision or some intuitive messages or symbols. If you already know what it is but you  need clarity on the necessary path to be taken for its fulfilment; or strength to persevere, ask for that. Then put the pen in your non- dominant hand, touch the tip of the pen to the paper, say “SOUL guide me, I am open to your wisdom” then write down or draw any words, symbols, images that come to you. Reflect and interpret.

2. Write a letter to your Unconscious Mind. Ask to have revealed to you any defence mechanisms, repressed memories, denied passions ready to be brought into consciousness for healing or claiming. Ask with an open and humble heart. Then put the pen in your non-dominant hand, touch the tip of the pen to paper, then write down any words and describe any images or memories, whether they seem relevant or not; bring them to your conscious awareness . Your unconscious will only reveal what you are ready and willing to see and know, so don’t panic that it will be too much, and don’t despair if you get nothing. Give it another go on another day, you may be ready then.

Dealing with Anger

Here’s my journalling assignment for those listening to our September 11th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

To understand what your anger is here to teach you:

Write your anger story, tell your anger story. Process your anger story and release it.

Ask these questions of your anger:

What situation triggered your anger?

What aspect of your wellbeing -emotional,mental, physical, financial – do you perceive as being under threat?

What primary emotion( fear, pain, loneliness, shame, sadness) or vulnerability underlies your anger?

What danger is your anger seeking to protect you from?

Is the danger real or perceived?

Is it a throwback from a past trauma or is it a clear and present danger?

What action is your anger seeking to motivate you towards?

How much of your anger related behaviour is a learned response from the way you were parented, raised, managed?

Is your anger mostly overt or covert?

Once all of that is clear – once you know  the root cause and the form your anger tends to take, then write a three sentence statement/ boundary that calmly expresses your rights and what action you intend to take to preserve those rights. Make sure that your intended action does not involve a violation or attack on another person, place or thing.

In order to stay calm and centred, remember to breathe, use paraphrasing and thoughtful humour and always self care to keep stress at bay.

Name it, Claim it, Let it Go.

Conscious Marketing with author and speaker Carolyn Tate

Here’s my journalling assignment for those listening to our August 28th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

Journalling assignment for Purpose.

Journal on these two questions- why am I here? and What am I here to create? Write from your heart and see where your subconscious is trying to direct you.

Journalling assignment for conscious marketing .

  1.  Start by asking yourself why you do what you do. What is the purpose of your business, product, service?
  2. Does this purpose align with your values, your vision and your mission ?
  3. What problem does your product or service solve for others? What good does it do for others? Assess whether it adds value to others ( or whether it brings harm to others) and write all that down. Be honest, if it brings harm, evaluate how you can solve the problem without harming others in a different way.
  4. Create a message centred on communicating the WHY first and then on what you do and how you do it.
  5. Work out the best stories to tell and then learn how to tell them really well. Make your message conscious and engaging. Skill up on messaging so you become an effective ambassador for the great service/ product you provide.
  6. Trust the process, if you have created something wholesome, trust the Universe to support you.
  7. Do a budget for marketing and write down your realistic expected return on investment. However, ensure your mindset is one where you pursue Purpose and welcome Profit- don’t pursue Profit at the expense of Purpose.

Your Personal Bill of Rights

Here’s my journalling assignment for those listening to our August 14th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

Please right down the 7 Rights that make up your personal Bill of Rights. Then make a beautiful poster listing them all and hang it on your wall or inside your wardrobe or somewhere that suits you.

Look at it every day for 30 days. Look in the mirror and say each right out aloud and after you say each one, say straight away: “YES I DO”. Then move on to the next right and do the same thing until you have done that with all 7 Rights.

If you have a friend you trust then sit opposite them with your Bill of Rights in your hands and say each right looking them in the eyes (don’t break eye contact) and have them say back to you, after each one, “YES YOU DO”. Then swap and do the same for them.

Make a note of which rights you have an emotional reaction to, then do some journalling to ascertain the roots of why that right triggers you. Write out any painful memories or limiting beliefs; Name them, Claim them, Let them Go.

Grace interviews Carolyn Flower on Gratitude

Here’s my journalling assignment for those listening to our July 3rd show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you:

1) Decide to begin a 30-day Gratitude journaling practice.  This can be on a sticky note that you drop in to a jar labelled “gratitude jar”, or on a pad of paper or notebook.  Whatever you choose is fine, but the preference is that it be a new notebook, and that it be dedicated only to this practice. This is now your sacred space to write.

2) As a mindset cleanse, pay attention to the thoughts you are thinking. What is the language you are using and messages that you are conveying to yourself? Are you expressing gratitude toward yourself and others? Are there any road blocks coming up to prevent you from writing in your Gratitude Journal or adopting an attitude of Gratitude? Now that you are more aware, the next time a non-supportive or habitual negative thought comes into your mind, interrupt it, and replace it with the opposite and positive-minded thought.

For example:

I don’t have the time / I’ll adjust my schedule to allow for it

It’s not for me / I’m ready to try something new

I am not good at writing / Ten minutes a day won’t kill me

Why bother? / I know this will benefit my health

3) YOUR DAILY GRATITUDE PRACTICE LOOKS LIKE THIS:

a. Decide on the place where you are most comfortable to enjoy your gift to yourself of quiet-time. SACRED SPACE.

b. Decide on the time of day that works best for you, perhaps as you wake or before you rest at the end of the day. SACRED TIME.

c. Choose your favourite pen or pencil. Get your Gratitude Journal out. SACRED TOOLS.

d. Write two questions:

What am I grateful for?

What was the BEST part of my day?

e.Write as little or as much as you feel. Don’t judge yourself and don’t erase. Just write. (Prepare to be amazed – if you write daily, you will find a huge difference in the amount of gratitude you’ll write from Day 1 to Day 30).  If you feel as good as I know you will, start again.

  3. Pick 5 defense mechanisms that you know you engage in. Write one paragraph on each of them and how you have seen them block intimacy in your relationships. Explore when, where and how  you use them and what you could do differently.

Addictive Relationships and Trauma Bonds

Here’s my journaling assignment for those listening to our June 5th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you

  1. Write down what your relationship issue is.
  2. Identify if you are or have ever been in an addictive relationship. Then ask yourself what role you play: are you a love addict; love avoidant; sex addict; co-sex addict; romance and fantasy addict; or emotional or sexual anorexic.
  3. Write down if you think you may have a trauma bond or be in a trauma repetition compulsion.
  4. Meditate and ask your subconscious to take you back to a childhood memory of where any of these behaviors may have been set up. Write out that memory. Dialogue with that part of you and reassure it that you are now safe.
  5. Take this information to your therapist, life coach, spiritual teacher, or wise confidante and process it in a safe environment. Get under it, so you can get over it.

Breaking Through with Grace – Radio Show May 23, 2017

Food addiction

Here’s my journaling assignment for those listening to our May 23rd show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you

1)  Identify the nature of your problem with food. Decide what category you fit into and answer the questions relevant to that category:

a)  Are you a Normal Eater who just has body image and self-esteem issues but fundamentally your relationship with food itself is fine? If so, then you need to get therapy or coaching on your negative self-talk and limiting beliefs and address those psychologically.

b) Are you a Dysfunctional Eater? Is your overeating or under-eating driven by your circumstances, feelings, stress levels or bad habits? Are you triggered to eat by these circumstances and experiences but when they resolve themselves, your urge to eat dysfunctionally passes? Reflect and discuss whether food is masking issues with:- Your family, job, finances?

– Grief, loneliness, anger?

– Is food your surrogate mother, lover, family? Is it your source of love?

Analyse your circumstances and explore your feelings. After thorough inquiry, work out whether you need an eating plan, an exercise plan, a therapy program? Treat the dysfunction and the use of food, as a coping mechanism, will diminish.

c) Are you a Food Addict? Are you someone who has a mental obsession coupled with a physical compulsion to consume addictive foods despite negative consequences?

If so, then the only successful treatment for food addiction, I have come across is twelve step programs. In particular, Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous. But there are several others- Grey Sheet; OA; CEA. Google them. Anything based on the Twelve Step model is a step in the right direction for treating addiction. And the basic rule in twelve steps is total abstinence from your drug of choice.

2) Write a two-page story describing “A Day in Your Food Life” as a Dysfunctional Eater or Food Addict. Set out your worst behaviours and take a long hard look at them.

3) Decide what action you plan to take to address this issue. Write it down and commit to taking that action.

Conscious vs Unconscious Relationships

Here’s my journaling assignment for those listening to our May 8th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you

Review your current relationship and if you are not in one, review your past key relationships and ask yourself:

1.   Do I acknowledge my partner or my ex-partner as a mirror of myself, reflecting back to me defects and strengths I need to own and address?

2.   What do I or did I see in my partner that I disown in me?

3.   What lessons were they sent to teach me? Have I learnt them?

4.   Do I understand the difference between tolerance and acceptance? Tolerance has passive judgment and acceptance has surrender.  Expand and explore these.

5.   Do I know how to support my partner in healing their wounds and shadow self rather than rescuing (fixing or controlling), criticism (blaming or shaming) or avoidance (shutting down or dissociating)?

6. Do I communicate effectively, respectfully and in a loving and healthy way? And do I own, admit and apologize when my triggers or stress prevent me from communicating that way?

7.   How mutual is my relationship in terms of commitment to soul growth? Am I, or have I ever been in a relationship where the intention and the action was above all for mutual soul growth? Or am I longing, hoping, hanging out in something that is really not for my greater good? Or am I the person being pulled along by someone else’s hopes?

Grace interviews Jane Brown – How your physical space impacts your inner world

Here’s my journaling assignment for those listening to our April 24th show. Please send in any of your questions to me [email protected] and I’ll address them for you

1.Go through each room of your home and ask:

a) Do I like, dislike or love this room and why? In fact, ask the question about the house or apartment you live in, not just each room.

2.Go through the possessions in each room and ask:

a) Do I like, dislike or love this possession and why?

b) Do I need to hold onto it or is it time to let it go and why

3.If you live with family members, then ask them to do this in relation to their possessions. Don’t do this exercise on their behalf- that’s just codependent.

4.Try and create and environment that feels abundant, harmonious, has good energy flow and filled with love. When you encounter pain, avoidance or resistance- journal your feelings and see what lies underneath. You don’t need to spend money to feel abundant. Beauty, gratitude and clarity are also aspects of abundance.
